well this was a collab between myself and FuBaR [link] , i started the piece, i produced the bg using various brushes to get the effect i wanted and spent 15 minutes then colour to get the right look..i then added a render from a pack found on DA:

i then sent the piece to FuBaR so he could add his part. the first thing he did was layout where he wanted the text . he did this this quick and crudly to then work around it. he added 3 layers of brushing :doom abstract: and default brushes and applyed colour to them he then added the vector parts and lines to add to the effect i wanted. the next thing he worked on was the lighting . he looked at the render to produce a name and he thought it looked like a explosion so he added directional lighting using his techniuqe and then extra swirl lighting..he then went back to the text and changed to the name "Concepted Explosion" he then added sub text and names.. he thought it was lacking a lil something so the small side bar with the render in was made which i think looks rather effective . then added the border and finito..
